House Updates

We finally got ride of the cement blocks that we were using as front steps. The kids already love playing on the new steps. They work great, much better the the few cement blocks we had!

Painting the higher spots on the house has taken forever. I can only do it when Dad has time to come over with the loader and I still need to put a ladder in the loader to get the the very top. Well Dad was over yesterday and I got a second coat on the front and some of the trim done. Slowly but surely we are getting it done.

Hopefully if the weather holds we will have new shingles by the end of next weekend. Do I have and volunteers to help???? Don't be shy!! There will be food!!! :)

Egg

Many of may not know but when we moved here a year ago the previous owners had chickens and they were taking one trip and one trip only so many things were left behind, including the chickens. There was only about 6 chickens and a rooster here. I then thought I'm not busy enough I will get 30 more! I have been raising them from little chicks (see old blog) since April 21st. They are finally now laying eggs but about half the size of a normal egg. Today I finally got a real sized egg!

Waiting for the Bus

Cora and I were wait for Tate to get home from school. I wanted to get a picture of him getting off the bus. Needless to say the dog followed us down to the bus and tried to get on the bus so we only got some pictures of Cora waiting for the bus.

Goofing Around

Wow our lives have either been too boring to blog about or we have been really busy. I guess it is probably boring busy! We were at Mike and Pam's house this past Sunday afternoon and could resist playing around with the camera. Tate striking some goofy posses. I had to include the one with Mike looking like a grump!

Homework

Tate had his first homework assignment this week and I think we did pretty good. His assignment was to create himself with items from around the house. We used macaroni for his hair and mouth, blue fruit loops for his eyes and a cheerio for his nose.

Labor Day

The kids have had a very busy weekend. If they were not at my parents they were at Mitch's Mom's. Here is what they looked like when they finally came home at 4:30pm on Monday.

Cora was only briefly up while she was moved to the house.
